WebPipe is a downloadable application which acts as a server.

Like any other server it accepts connections from client applications (for example, regular web-browsers).

Each client may act as a producer or consumer or both.

Producer sends a data to WebPipe server. This data is automatically broadcasted to consumers with zero latency.

WebPipe server supports websocket protocol for both consumers and producers. A regular HTTP POST protocol may be used by producers.

A named channel must be created in order to send and/or receive data. WebPipe application supports unlimited number of channels.

By default, all clients may both send and receive (act as a consumer and producer).

A channel may be protected with password in order to protect it from unauthorized message publishing.
